AI Assets – Website Redesign & Build

Client: AI Assets
Partner: Squid Digital
Overview:
AIAssets.io is a PropTech platform helping councils, facility managers, and asset-heavy organisations modernise how they manage asset registers, lifecycle planning, compliance, and reporting.
AIAssets needed a website that felt as capable as the platform itself — more technical, more credible, and more visually engaging for a professional (often engineering-led) audience.
So we rebuilt the site experience from the ground up: new design system, stronger product storytelling, and interactive elements that bring the platform to life.
Focus: Make the AIAssets platform easier to understand and trust by translating complex asset and compliance functionality into a clear, credible, and engaging website experience for a technical audience.

The Challenge

The previous site did the basics, but it wasn’t doing justice to the product.
Key problems we set out to solve:
  • The website didn’t feel “technical” enough for the target market (it lacked depth and clarity).
  • Product value was hard to grasp quickly — especially for time-poor decision makers.
  • Imagery felt static and didn’t help users see how the platform works.
  • The overall experience didn’t match the maturity of the platform or where the brand is heading.

Our Approach

We focused on three things: clarity, credibility, and interactivity.
That meant:
  • Redesigning the visual language to feel more modern, structured, and “product-led”
  • Reworking the content flow so each page guides users through a logical decision journey
  • Building interactive components so users can explore key capabilities, not just read about them

What We Delivered

1) A new design that feels technical (without being cold)

We introduced a cleaner layout system, stronger hierarchy, and more deliberate spacing to create a “platform-grade” feel.

The design direction was built to communicate:
  • Trust and capability (enterprise-ready)
  • Structure and clarity (complex info, simplified)
  • Momentum (a modern SaaS brand that’s moving forward)

2) Interactivity that improves understanding

We introduced interactive UI patterns to make the site easier to scan and more engaging to explore, including:
  • Click-to-reveal feature modules (so users can go deeper without being overwhelmed)
  • Tabbed/segmented content for different audiences and use cases
  • Micro-interactions (hover states, scroll-based cues, subtle motion) to guide attention
The goal wasn’t “animation for animation’s sake” — it was to help users understand the product faster.

3) Bringing imagery to life

AIAssets is a visual platform — dashboards, registers, reporting, workflows — so we leaned into that.
We used richer, more purposeful visuals to create a stronger product story:
  • More real “platform-style” imagery (showing the system in context)
  • Imagery that supports technical messaging (not generic stock visuals)
  • A stronger balance between brand visuals and product visuals so the site feels both polished and practical

4) Built for performance, SEO, and future growth

Alongside the design rebuild, we ensured the foundations were strong:
  • Faster, lighter pages with cleaner component structure
  • Mobile-first responsiveness across key layouts
  • SEO-ready structure (clear headings, scannable sections, better internal linking)
  • Modular page sections so the team can evolve messaging without redesigning everything

The Result

The new AIAssets.io website is:
  • More visually appealing to a technical audience
  • More interactive and easier to explore
  • Clearer in how it communicates value and platform capability
  • More aligned with the product maturity and the brand’s direction
In short: it looks and feels like a modern PropTech platform — not a brochure site.

What’s Next

With the new website foundations in place, it’s set up well for:
  • More targeted landing pages by industry (councils, aged care, data centres, education, etc.)
  • Campaign-ready pages for events and outbound outreach
  • Continued optimisation based on analytics and conversion behaviour
